Doug Heller is running for commissioner in Ward 1
Doug Heller, a 15-year resident of Springfield Township, is a successful businessman and familiar face in the community — a committed member of many neighborhood, historical and civic organizations. Doug is a dedicated citizen who spends countless hours to improve his street, neighborhood, township and region.
Doug was one of the key individuals involved in preserving the historic Black Horse Inn on Bethlehem Pike, which won the 2006 Community Action Award from the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia. Doug serves on the Board of Directors of Hope Lodge Historic Site on Bethlehem Pike and on the Board of Directors of the Independence Hall Association, whose website ushistory.org is visited by over 2 million history-loving webvisitors each month.
Just as Doug believes in preserving our history, he believes in building a bright future. With hard work, open and honest communications, commitment, experience, and integrity, Doug hopes to give back to the Township he loves a stronger community for our businesses, families and children. Doug attended the University of Rochester and has had several successful businesses utilizing his vast knowledge of computers and websites.
