June 2011 Board Workshop Minutes Excerpt

Wyndhill Park.
At the May workshop meeting of the Board of Commissioners, representatives of the Springfield Soccer Club requested permission to donate the value of renovating the open field at the Wyndhill Park for use as an active recreation park. Subsequent to the meeting, 34 letters were mailed to area residents asking them for input. The Township received one response in favor, one response appeared reasonably neutral, and the other response suggested that active athletic fields at this location would be a detriment to the community. Mr. Harbison noted that he has spoken to several of the neighbors, including the individual objecting to the field renovations. The Commissioners suggested that the renovation project move forward.
