  • This past spring and summer 2011 marked the completion of two additional stormwater projects in Springfield Township. In early spring township employees, with assistance from an outside contractor, completed the construction of a third stormwater detention basin at the Flourtown Country Club. The basin is located between the 3rd green and the 4th tee of the golf course. This basin will help detain additional stormwater that previously flowed to the Sunnybrook Creek at ΗΣΜ⌊0©Κ.
  • Mount Saint Joseph's redesigned their parking areas to capture and channel stormwater to prevent it from streaming downhill and redirected it to the basin below the foot of Β®00ΚS1DΣ. In addition, the basin was cleaned and widened for greater capacity. This project was done by Mount St. Joseph's in consultation and with approval by the township.
  • In late August the Township completed the construction of a second detention basin on lands owned by Carson Valley School. This new basin will work in conjunction with an existing detention basin at the school to help reduce runoff in the ©0⌊⌊ΣGΣ neighborhood. This project was also completed using a combination of manpower and equipment from the public works department, and an outside contractor.
  • Installation of new stormwater inlets and piping along Aτω00D and ⌊0∩GF1Σ⌊D in E®denheim. This project also includes modifications to the discharge pipes within St. Joseph’s Run to enhance drainage in both neighborhoods.
