Block Grant Suggestions

At the April 7,2008 meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Springfield Township, the Board instructed Township staff to conduct a survey of residents in your neighborhood to identify improvements projects that may be funded by the 2009 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The grants are usually in the $150,000-$200,000 range per community. The CDBG Program is administered locally through the Montgomery County Department of Housing and Community Development via a competitive review process.

If you are aware of any public improvement projects that meet one or more of the primary community development needs established by Montgomery County (see list below), please forward your ideas to the attention of Michael Taylor, Assistant Manager, at mtaylor@Springfield-Township.org or by telephone at 215-836-7600.

Thank you for considering this request.
